This week she sharing her recipe for Cowboy Calico Beans! We love a quick and easy recipe that'll feed a house full, and this recipe does just that! Whether it's a dinner table full of family, or your contribution to the church potluck, these Cowboy Calico Beans are a great wintertime recipe to have on hand!
Cowboy Calico Beans
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 large sweet onion, chopped
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
16 oz can butter beans, drained
16 oz can kidney beans, rinsed & drained
1 can pork and beans
1 can lima beans, rinsed & drained
Instructions:
In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, breaking meat into crumbles; drain.
Transfer to your slow cooker.
In a seprate bowl combine the brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar and mustard; add to meat mixture.
Stir in the beans.
Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours or until heated through.
Serve & enjoy!
